Dr. Ahmed has an impressive academic background, completing his undergraduate degree with distinction and received a gold medal in Biomedical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. He then received the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for a European Master's program in Bio-Embedded Systems, jointly offered by Romania and Germany. Later, he received a PhD scholarship in Technology for Health, a joint program offered by Italy and Germany. Dr. Ahmed's research excellence earned him a Marie Curie Postdoc Fellowship at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he developed brain-computer interface (BCI) systems for medical applications. Currently, he is a part of the Neurological Sciences and Electrical Engineering department at Stanford University as a Scientific Researcher, where he is developing BCI-Controlled, smart, and portable rehabilitation kit for home-based stroke recovery. His research focuses on BCI, neurorehabilitation, bioelectronics, bioinstrumentation, biosensor design, flexible/stretchable electronics, and the development of biomedical devices & healthcare monitoring systems.
